Nature Awaits

Activities at Entrance Ranch

Athabasca River & Roche Miette

Entrance Ranch has an abundance of natural activities just waiting to be discovered. There's many trails and walking opportunities right outside your door! Go for an hour or for the entire day. You'll find the wonders of nature right here on the ranch.
Take a walk through the sprawling pastures, or take a trek along the Athabasca River.  You'll see many species of birds and wildlife, breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains, the Roche Miette (Pocahontas) and stunning, sweeping vistas.

Entrance Ranch is the perfect home base for forays into the back country of William Switzer Provincial Park or the Willmore Wilderness Park, or day trips to Jasper National Park. You can also find information of the area from the Willmore Wilderness Foundation website

There are a multitude of summer activities you can plan yourself that can include treks, canoeing, swimming, horseback riding (at a nearby stable), camping, geocaching, fishing and much more! You can even ride the Jasper Skytram to the top of Whistlers Mountain for a unique family adventure!

Winter activity options include cross country skiing on the local trails or at the Hinton Nordic Centre, downhill skiing at Marmot Basin in Jasper, snowshoeing, skating, or ice fishing.

You decide how fast or how slow you want to go.
